Thoughts on the Phils game Mike? Genius move by Manuel using Blanton and Happ today!

I don't get bringing in both of those guys. Once he brought Blanton in I was like ok Happ is starting Game 3. Makes sense cause Rockies don't hit lefties well. Then he brings Happ in and he gets beaned with a line drive

Pedro starts Game 3 now I guess??? What's he going to give you in 30 degree weather, 3 innings???

Wasn't real happy with what I saw from Myers either.

I thought Pedro would start game 3 from the get go. You guys didn't? C'mon Mike, it's Pedro and you KNEW he would start one of these games. Pedro ain't no middle reliever and he never will be.

Easy to say now Wayne! Moyer is no bullpen pitcher either and you saw where he was before he got hurt. Again Rockies hit right handers way better than lefties. If Happ got hit hard early then you bring in Pedro to get you to the 6th-7th.

I would have told you a week ago if asked. Seriously, they'll take their chances with the experience of Pedro 8 days a week and so would i. You let the kids work middle relief and the veterans start. It doesn't shock me at all.

It's funny that you would have said Pedro a week ago but the Manager coming into today's game still had no clue lol. I don't think it is as cut and dry as you are making it or else that would have been released already. The Phillies website still has TBA starting for Saturday's game. Pedro is a big game pitcher hopefully that continues. I just don't see him going deep in a really tough climate. It is supposed to be near freezing at game time.

really? i think if our hitting comes thru we win rather easily. the sox had sooooooo many LOB this year it was ugly. I think the sox pitching is far better than LAA will see

It will also be a lot easier to get revved up and stay warm for a start then it would be to call the bullpen and tell Pedro he is pitching in 2 batters. The cold out there is the reason to start him. It is a lot easier than trying to warm him up in a hurry mike.

I just don't see it. Too many people looking past Anaheim and i think Kazmir was a HUGE addition for them. He is a Sox killer!
