Are Baseball Players Wimps?

For all you guys that have fantasy teams and you set your lineup only to see the next day(to late to change)because the guy fouled a ball off his leg and needs to sit for a day or two for precautionary reasons.This has been happening all to frequently for the past years and its getting worse.I dint have time to list all these guys that every 5/6 days,OH my hamstring,back,ribs,etc.Back in the 50's/60's these guys would have be the laughing stock on their team and sent to the minors,probably Alaska or worse CANADA.

No, I don't think MLB players are wimps as I believe a lot of them play with minor injuries that we don't hear about.

Monte,players played all the time with minor injures, back then and sometimes major and pitcher very rarely sat with over used weak arm like today.Pitchers went 12 + innings,Spann ,Burdettte,Ford,no problem

Its all about the money in baseball. The oldtimers made little money and played for the love of the game and pride.

Todays contracts, unions and agents have changed the game to what it is today.

I'm sure that they did, but you could say that about most sports players and the different eras.

Check out the Jays stats over the past 15 years and tell me they havent already been sent to Canada..
