They were so bad with their tirades they even had judges removed. They also threw their rackets and knock over things. It is not common and I am not that much of a Serena fan and that is because I do not believe that she gave tennis her all. She should have won more majors. With that being said. If you watched the match John said there is no way you make that call there unless they are way over.

PATRICK gave her the opportunity to say she was wrong and she over reacted or anything and they blew it off which pisses me off and im sorry you think its about race but if a white person did that to a black person there would be marches outside the stadium saying they should not be allowed to play.

This i think is the biggest issue here. She far and away crossed the line by actually making a threat. Honestly seeing as it's on tape there is a possibility that if a New York official wanted to get involved they could charge her for threatening to harm a person and easily win.

And I'm going to leave the race issue alone because bringing it into this conversation does nothing to further how or why the penalty was enforced.

I loved Johnny Mac. Loved the way he played tennis. IMO Serena crossed the line threatening a judge. Johnny Mac's worst offense was calling them idiots. It's not right but the lesser of two evils.

Calling an umpire an idiot in 1980=Telling an linesperson they would shove the f"n ball down her throat in 2009.

Johnny Mac's comments and tirades in the 70's and early 80's were as outrageous as Serena's comments this past weekend.

Society was less tolerant back in those days. McEnroe's little shows were less accepted back in the day. Serena's rant will be forgotten by next weekend.

Like it or not, times have changed and rants are relevent. I am not saying it is right, but just the way it is.

Besides, tennis needs someone like the Williams sisters. I am not so sure there isn't a method to their madness.
