While I agree with you about Sharpton being a fat pig fuck stick,I don't really need an apology from Serena.She got pissed and probably shouldn't have said the things she said but her and Venus both have kept there nose clean and have had alot of respect for the sport IMO.I'm kinda in the lets move on stage myself.

SERENA, had 2 previous foot fault calls, and was repeatedly warned.....I watched a replay of her serve, and she indeed does turn her foot where it's on the line......

Even if her foot is just a 1/4" on the line it's a faULT....NO DIFFERENT THAN WHEN A BALL IS 1/4" OFF THE LINE, IT'S OUT, OR 1/4" ON THE LINE, IT'S IN..........RULES ARE RULES.....

Let's visualize I'm umpiring a gamer, and a pitch IMO is a strike, but the replay shows it being 1/4" from the strike zone.....this is after the batter has argued, and been ejected....do you overrule it....let him back in....no fines, or reprecussions (suspensions)....hell no...why....It's a rule....

I loved Johnny Mac. Loved the way he played tennis. IMO Serena crossed the line threatening a judge. Johnny Mac's worst offense was calling them idiots. It's not right but the lesser of two evils.

Just so we are on the same page it was NOT John Mcenroe,it was Patrick Mcenroe during the doubles award ceremony asking her if she would like to say something to the judge and fans and she basically blew it off other than saying she loves her fans but she does not think she did anything wrong is the problem.

Frank is right. If a white player went after a black judge, the player's career would be ruined.

That being said, the call was a disgrace. Not only was it wrong, foot faults are like holding....they occur all the time and are rarely called.

The line judge needs to be held accountable for a disgraceful call at a crucial point in a major match.

My final point: many of the same people defending serena are those who have ripped Bobby Knight for the exact same thing: berating a ref

Im surprised it took this long for everyone to see.
