  • Richard Seymour Traded to Oakland

    For a 2011 1ST Round pick.

WOW ... Never saw that coming!

ESPN calling it a Blockbuster trade.

We were wondering how they would sign Vince Wilfork and Seymour at the end of this season. I guess we know how now. Wow!!!

Seymour, Vrabel, Bruschi and Harrison all gone from last year's defense. They are definately getting younger in a hurry!

Seymour is 30 and they have a lot of depth on the D-Line. I really like this move for 2 reasons. They open up all that cash from his contract and they get what could be a pretty decent 1st round pick in 2 years!

Patriots only have 1 backup QB and he's a rookie. If Brady gets hurt they are screwed.

They were trying to get Feeley from Philly. I think Garcia could be an option too after being cut. I'm sure they will get somebody.

Its a fleecing by the Pats....took the Raiders to the cleaners. Seymour, imo, is overrated, they weren't going to pay him, has missed time the last two yrs and is 30 y/o...Raiders have no clue....

I totally agree man. I love this move and i can't believe they got a 1st round pick for him. Absolutely GREAT move. The Raiders are clueless and you are right, he was gone after this year anyway and he always seems hurt!

They only get a 2nd round pick for a younger starting QB and a veteran LB and they get a mid 1st rounder for Seymour? Wow

I agree. Only the inept Raiders make this trade.

the Eagles cut Feeley today. Eagles probably wanted too much. Pats passed. Now the Pats can sign Feeley.

Al Davis is a complete ass Seymour's best days are behind him. Oakland will probably have a top 5 draft pick this year. They would be better drafting someone like McCoy the DT from OU.

The pick isn't in the upcoming draft but the 2011 draft...either way it will be top 5 as you mentioned.

Well I sure as hell hope that they sign someone else, because the backup NE has now isn't going to work.

And today the Patriots said there are no issues on their end. Seymour is pissed and his biggest fear is that Oakland sticks the franchise tag on him next year and he is back for another year.
