Cleveland Browns receiver Donte' Stallworth was suspended without pay for this season Thursday after pleading guilty to killing a pedestrian while driving drunk. He cannot participate in any team activities until his reinstatement after the Super Bowl.

that sucks,i disagree with goodell on this matter.this could happen to anyone of us and donte has complied with everything during this time and has to live with this the rest of his life and now you go and take football(something to take his mind off things)away from him which maybe the only thing to occupie him in this trying time,he knows he did wrong and is paying for it the rest of his life so why such harsh action,..im just not comfortable with this decision

It could happen to anyone, but he was drunk, and allegedly high. So there in lies the issue. I applaud Goodell for putting the hammer down. Playing in the NFL is a privelege and if he truly appreciated that privelege he would've gotten a limo or a cab instead of downing patron and getting behind the wheel and violating the NFL's conduct policy.

Regardless he got lucky through the judicial system and through the NFL--he could of got more easily--I understand the circumstances of how he only spent 23 days in jail but the NFL could of banned him right??

Just because He tested Positive for Pot doesnt mean he was High he could of smoker 15 day earlier..... I agree With Big Dog this was to harsh this guy has done every thing right since it has happened 8 games was plenty......

My friend is a cop and this is how he described it to me. Lets say you had couple beer in you - buzzed. You drive home. You're at a red light, waiting for it to turn green. Then all of a sudden...a motorcycles runs into you, the driver flips and dies and you are ______.

I aint defending stallworth for being drunk/buzzed/etc... and being on the road but he got a shitty deal all around.
