He's not innocent. He tested POSITIVE! Their excuse is always the same. I took some over the counter supplement from the Dominican Republic that was legal at the time.

The bottom line! He tested positive for a PED. Where he got it or how he got it is immaterial. His performance level increased drastically with the use of this product. There's no refuting his performance increase coinciding with his use.

This fact somehow gets lost in the shadow of a doubt argument Frank.

Now comes the response "He may not have knowingly tkaen them"

Yea, I can see Ortiz just strolling down the street. Then thinks to himself, hell, I'll stop in here and buy 4 of these supplements, not knowing anything about them, and just eat them up and see what happens

        WAKE THE FUCK UP SAVAGE!

At the ones you mentioned. Must have tried them and didn't work huh

The problem with most supplements is that a lot of companies use fillers, because they are cheap and those fillers don't do a damn thing for you. Find a company that actually makes supplements with high grade ingredients isn't easy. Theres a Canada company that has a set of strict guidelines it must follow. Also the pharmaceuticals were trying to get herbs to be made a p rescription based product and failed.

As for Ortiz IMO he's guilty. Look at his #'s prior to coming to Boston. Plus he tested positive and like everyone else is spinning.

Yes but you haved no actual proof as to what years he used them-that is circumstantial evidence, and thats it.
I say wait-if the guy who leaked the information or someone else knows more, it will come out.
Look at the Michael Jackson case and what happened in ths subsequent days after his death-who is to say that something else on a smaller scale won't come out to make/prove Ortiz is a liar if that is the case.
If this occurs, then lets see how Ortiz responds-this is just the first inning of the entire matter including hopefully the release of other names on that list(hopefully all the names will be released).

Savage which MLB that have been accused of steroids do you put in the same class as you would Ortiz?

I said before that the fact that he admitted that he bought some of these in the Dominican Republic where the standards and what it legal and what is not legal are far different from what is permitted in the US may be key here.
I still say patience is a virtue and to just sit back and wait a least a week or perhaps a little longer to see if someone else comes forward and says something.

He should have checked to make sure that what he was putting in his body would be Legal by USA standards since that's where his Job is at and where he gets his money. It's not like the guy took it one time as he would have had to of taken it for a long period of time for his stats to be what they were over the years.

If you mean which MLB PLAYER, etc., then I am not sure I have an answer.
If nothing further is said or leaked re: the Ortiz matter in the next month, then I would conclude that there is more evidence than not to say that he used them at some time but not necessarily for all of the years from 2004 until the exact moment when his production went down-there is not enough ACTUAL evidence to prove/support that such as was the case with Clemens and Bonds.

So as of right now the only player you put in this inconclusive class is Ortiz?

I agree-again I feel more evidence will come out to damn him if everything he said on Saturday was a lie.
In short, I am not disagreeing with any of you guys-I just want more evidence other than of the circumstantial type, which in my mind is all that exists now-is it so terrible for me or anyone to say "Lets just wait a little bit longer for more evidence before we conclude beyond a shadow of a doubt that he lied about everything he said about his use of steroids."
