      No, what is he saying?

In essence he said he never took steroids but did take supplements some of which were bought in the US and some of which were bought in the Dominican Republic.
The fact that he purchased some of the supplements in the Domican Republic could be telling because what is permitted to be sold there is probably quite a bit difference with what can be purchased legally in the US.
I would call the whole thing inconclusive.

Yea right. Then someone should ask him how did he go from averaging 15 home runs and 60 RBIs a year with the Twins to averaging 40 home runs and 120 RBIs with the Sox. Hell before the Twins released him they tried to trade him and couldn't find any takers. Must be a real goooood supplement.

Exactly raven! Of course you could never convince savage of that since it's on of his beloved Sox players

It's the same song and dance. "I took some over the counter supplement".

What a moronic thing to say;apparently you don't know how to read.
This is what I posted yesterday in another thread.

Well I care for one, and I feel any athlete INCLUDING Ortiz ought to be ashamed of himself if he knowingly took PED'S.
As others have said and I fully agree, lets cut out the bullshit and release the ENTIRE list of the 100 or so players on that list, get to the bottom of this and move forward.
If I was commissioner, I would suspend someone from baseball for five years if not life if he got caught using them starting today.
I am anxiously awaiting what he says;hopefully if he did knowingly take what he did with the intent being to make him a better and stronger hitter, then obviously a full disclosure and apology is in order.

I merely said that based on what I heard TODAY, I learned nothing new.
Perhaps if they released the entire list, you might find there were some other Cubs players besides Sammy Sosa who used steroids(I believe you said you were a Cubs fan-correct me if I am wrong).

Anyone want to go back and see what Savage had to say when Arod was found guilty? I don't have the time but I'm sure it wasn't "I would call the whole thing inconclusive"

Some of that over the counter stuff came from the Dominican Republican-who knows what it contained.
If someone pinned me down, I would say that he probably did take something illegal like the other 100 guys on the list.
You guys are making broad assumptions;my comments merely had to do with the new conference today and what he said;whether it is true or not is another matter.

Instead of surmising what I said about ARod (if I in fact posted anything), go back and find it rather than just begging the question and making assumptions.
I believe in fact that I gave ARod credit for admitting it;as a matter of fact I am SURE I did!
Boy I sure hope some of you guys don't bet with the same ILLOGIC/shooting from the hip you do when you make wild unfounded accusations like this one.
If I have time later, I may try to go back to the post re:Arod and see what I said in comparison to what some of you other guys said.

Mr. Vols Fan-here is what I posted on 2/9/09 in the thread entitled ARods Admits, rgrets Use of PED's-Below was written in response to what Frank said(post 15). Get your facts straight next time;I don't play ANY favorites when it comes tot his stuff. As stated yesterday, I would ban any player for life for using steroids if caught today.

I agree;he admitted unlike lowlife LYING scum like Clemens and Bonds(this was my reponse).

when ortiz says he passed numerous tests, including the wbc, its inconclusive.

when clemens says the same, he's a lying scumbag.

From the evidence I have read regarding Clemens' use of steroids including sworn statements from folks who helped to give and administer it to him as opposed to Ortiz, at this point there is no comparison if asked to choose, who was likely more guilty of using it, Clemens or Ortiz.
Again I think the odds are that Ortiz did use them, and again, my comments about inconclusive had to do solely with what Ortiz said today.
I say move forward and ban anyone for life in the future who is caught using steroids.
