  • No More NCAA for Nevada:

August 7, 2009 No More NCAA for Nevada: The NCAA will no longer hold championship tournaments in states such as Nevada that permit betting on single games (the ban excludes states that allow parlay betting, lottery tickets, pull tabs, and sports pools). Chancellors and presidents from all three NCAA divisions approved the measure Thursday, saying it applies to "any session of an NCAA championship." University of Nevada Athletic Director Cary Groth called the decision "outrageous".

Notice how they excluded other States with other forms of gambling. Do they actually think Vegas will stop all sportsbooks from taking wagers on NCAA sports vs. losing those bowl games?
