No disrespect, but while that is an interesting stat, I don't think that really matters. There are many more failure examples of coach's switching between the NFL and college, and vice versa, than success stories. Makes me think of "retread" more than anything else. Classic example of that is Steve Spurrier. Coaching in each one really requires a different secondary set of skills. However, as I said, that is interesting nonetheless.
      O..H.........I..O!

      2010 NCAA Football: 4-3-1

      2010 NFL: 0-0

      2009-2010 NCAA Basketball: 30-23-1

Yes indeed it is interesting but one could argue some GOOD college coaches bad NFL coaches...

The 5 Kiffin-Saban-Petrino-Brooks and Spurrier---who had any type of success??

I NEVER SAID IT MATTERED I HATE THE SEC AS YOU CAN SEE I AM A ACC GUY AND LOOK FOR EVERY EDGE POSSIBLE TO SAY THAT THE SEC IS NOT THE BEST OVERALL CONFERENCE BUT WHEN I STARTED LOOKING AT THE COACHES I THOUGHT IT WAS STRANGE THAT IN 1 CONFERENCE THERE IS THE SAME AMMOUNT AS ANYONE ELSE IN ALL OTHER CONFERENCES COMBINED.MAKES ME THINK THAT A FORMER NFL COACH DOES NOT SEE GOING TO THE SEC AS MUCH OF A STEP BACK

Thats because the SEC is the closest you can get to the NFL.

Fair enough. I'm a fan of no conference, just a team. I'm know I'm wierd these days in the era of "my team sucks but my conference is good so I root for everyone to make myself feel better," but I would love for Michigan and Penn State to lose every game. Last I checked, you're supposed to root against your league rivals and not root for them.

Almost all the people wasting time arguing which conference is better in which sport is b/c their own team is inadequate. #1 example that I see all the time is Kentucky fans. Their basketball program has been down for the better part of a decade, and their football team wins 6-7 games a year scheduling no one good non-conference outside of Louisville. Yet, they live and die by the SEC and how they fare against other teams. Heck, I even see them rooting for Florida all the time even Florida has owned thema cross the board for quite some time now.

From my logo I'm obviously an Ohio State fan, but I don't "hate" teams that have beat Ohio State in championship games the last couple of years (Florida, LSU). I have my same opinion of them before and after. It's not those teams fault that they played better than Ohio State on those days, they just beat them. Again, this completely contrasts all Kentucky fans I know that still hate Duke from when they beat them in the Final 4 in the early 90s. It's scary the amount of hatred they have too, but, then again, they are probably the most jealous group of fans out there. I think I'm unique these days in that I hate conference rival teams b/c I don't care about indirectly boosting my own teams self image.

Thanks. I just don't understand how the situation has devolved into the system people use to root for team's these days.
