UFL will consider signing Vick for debut season
When the United Football League debuts in October, Michael Vick could be one of its players. Michael Huyghue, the commissioner of the new four-team league, says the UFL is willing to give Vick a place to play - provided there are no pending legal issues. His rights belong to the Orlando franchise. Vick already has served an 18-month sentence in federal prison for his involvement in a dogfighting ring.

What is the format? Do they play 6 weeks then have a
    playoff, then championship?

I doubt that it will make a go, BUT... Back in the day the
AFL played their games on Saturday because they knew
they couldn't compete with the NFL on Sunday and after all
those years we have seen 43 SuperBowls.

That's what I mean. The USFL played in the Spring, I don't think the XFL infringed on the NFL; and as you pointed out, the AFL played on Saturdays. With only 4 teams this league it's going to get lost in the shuffle with everything else I pointed out that's going on during their season. And as Wayne pointed out, if you don't get some name players in this league it's going to be over before it started. Come on you have to have more than 4 fucking teams right? But what do I know, out of all that has tried before this will be the one league that will stick.

New minor league says Vick is welcome
Michael Vick has a place in minor league football if he doesn't head back to the NFL. The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback, whose federal sentence for dogfighting ends July 20, would we welcomed by The Minor Football League, consisting of professional teams in Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. The president and founder of the MFL, Richard Myles, said Wednesday the league is willing to give him a place to play while the NFL decides his fate.
