I agree with Ryno. I was more of a Dawson fan than a Sosa fan anyway. At first I liked Sosa, than it became all about him. Always looking to hit the long ball, and when he did hit one out, most of the time it was an meaningless HR. And now with the whole roid thing. He 's not getting in.

There will be a long list of guy's from the mid to late 80's till now that will not make it to the hall because of the roid cloud. I think we all know that, and it's too bad because Baseball in a way used the players through all of this.

Im a Cub fan and agree with Ryno, if you have tested positive for any banned substance period you should not be in the hall of fame, and dont give me the arguement that pithers cheated back in the day and are in, because thats weak.

Right on the money Bear ... Could not agree more ...

Dawson was something else ... All fields ... such a true hitter ... Sammy the cheat was all about him ... from his music in the locker room to when he reported every year in spring training ... "Sammy's in the house" ...

he belongs in the "HALL OF SHAME"

Even if Sammy didn't do it, I still believe he isn't a hall of famer. There are more guys worth getting in than him.
            Good Luck to everyone

Richie: [after Gus hits a homerun] Wow and he did it without steroids.
            Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!

If Ryan was such a goodie to shoe, how come he didn't come out and say he was a cheater when he was chasing McGwire he played with him he knew hes was on something. He is guilty a Sammy for keeping his mouth shut!! Maybe because he was juicing atthe end of his career??

I miss those days when I LOVED baseball. I loved going from my home town Aurora (Yes, the home of SNL's Wayne's world) into Chicago to see the Cubs play and sit in the bleachers with #8 out there in RF and #23 at 2B with an Old Stlye. man; I had some good times at that ball park. It was the best of times!
