Tidbit of the day: The first game of college football took place on November 6, 1869 between Rutgers University and neighboring Princeton. This first game didn't really ressemble modern college football at all. Each team had 25 players and the ball could be moved only by kicking or batting it with the feet, hands or heads - there was no forward passing. The final score was 6 - 4 for Rutgers.

The 2009 Florida Gators have ALREADY made history. They are the first team to reciveve over 96% of the first place votes in AP Poll History. They received 58 first place votes out of 60 total. This is the highest % ever.

((The other two votes were for the Texas Longhorns))

Tidbit of the day: Michigan will play three QBs in its opener with Western Michigan, not a great sign for a team that got sub-standard QB play in '08, while at Tennessee, they haven't decided on a starting QB yet either.
