Tidbit of the day: Guz Malzahn, the leader of Tulsa's juggernaut offense the past few years, was hired this offseason by Auburn head coach Gene Chizik, in hopes of bringing some sort of offense to Jordan Hare Stadium. Auburn was only better than 8 teams in scoring, averaging a putrid 17.3 points per game, amazingly enough, the same as Tennessee.

Tidbit of the day: Tennessee Volunteers had the 115th-ranked offense last year (out of 119) and have already lost four players to injury this offseason- they'll have the same two QBs as LY. Lane Kiffin has already fired one strength coach, and it is looking like 2009 could be a very long year for someone who has made himself a lightning rod for controversy, without having coached a college football game.
