Supposedly, the Giants offered what they got for Shockey, a 2nd and a 5th. Cleveland responded that the Giants would have to throw in Steve Smith and the Giants offered up Mario Manningham or D. Hixon and talks stalled. Jerry Reese says it never got to the point of players being discussed.

I don't give up a #1 for Edwards...I would for Boldin in a Heart-beat. I would give up a 1 and a 3 for him b/c the G-men have 2 two's and two threes.
