not sold on cassell being a great q.b but k.c only gave up a second round pick, that doesnt break the bank and its worth the gamble.

Things will be a lttle different without moss welker watson as your weapons. btw I didnt think tyler thigpen did that bad of a job toward the end of the season.

Like i said only a second round is a good deal though.

You can say that about most great QB's. Rice, Taylor and Clark helped Montana be great. Swan, Stallworth and Harris made Bradshaw great. Irving and Emmitt helped Troy look great. All great qb's had great players around them for the most part. I'm not saying Cassel is great either but you still have to judge him by what he did. His decision making was excellent last year too.

I would feel a million times better with a guy like Cassel over any Rookie that has done nothing in this league.

If its a 2nd for both players, it is a great trade for both teams.

I have no problem with cassells body of work last year. I believe the system and the players helped him quite a bit which is a compliment for how good a coach jerkoff bellichik is.The only problem I had with him last year was his passes over 25+ yards which shouldve been great seeing how you have the fastest and tallest receiver on your team(moss). But his decision making was excellent, his percentage was sky high and he kept them in the hunt for the playoffs all year. I grade cassell out at a B+ which wouldve been an A if he had been able to utilize moss more last year.

Had a great year last year just skeptical of him on the chiefs and a shitty ass offensive line and a weak defense.

New England better have a back up.

The same guy that backed up Cassel last year (Kevin O'Connell) will back up Brady this year. Not much different in the back up role from 08'-09'.

Now there are Rumors that Matt Cassel will be traded to Denver for Jay Cutler?

              Wow, if true ...........

              Mcdaniels must really want Cassel?

There's also great QBs who did it with no name WRs. ie: Brett Favre.

My prediction: Cassel gets benched by the end of the season.

Screw Brett Favre, most can't name more than one WR on any of Brady's 3 SB Winning teams. Look at the guys who were around Brady when he won each SB and it is hard to figure out how they won.

Personally I can name about 3 or 4, what does that have to do with Brett Favre? And why screw Brett Favre?

I agree....I coudn't name a WR other than Troy Brown on any of those teams.

Another QB who was no one w/o WR's is Duante Culpepper. He made his entire career on one season of taking 5 step drops and throwing the ball downfield to Moss, Carter and Reed.

Screw meaning forget. We are talking Patriots in this thread and my point was, we don't need to go to GB to find that QB when there is one sitting in N.E. who won 3 SB's, not one and he did it with alot less at the WR position than Favre did.

You're kidding right wayne?? You're the one who brought up Montana and the 49ers, Bradshaw and the Steelers, and Aikman and the Cowboys. And then you tell me "we're talking about Patriots in this thread"???

In the 3 SB Wins, the Leading TD Receivers in 3 total games was Mike Vrabel and David Givens, each with 2 TD Receptions. Troy Brown was never even close to a #1 receiver and Deion Branch was solid for a season or two but had 1 SB TD reception. David Patten was one of their top receivers in their SB run too. Yup, real scary weapons there, especially with Antoine Smith a RB!
