Greek-What you says is true although I don't think it hits at 90% over time-enough to win though and that is what counts.
I agree with your reasons and would also add another that sometimes the players of the team who are playing the injured team simply don't get as motivated if the key player is out.
I really believe that some of these players want to give it their all and showboat when they are playing the best that the other team has to offer;when a key player is out, some of the players on the uninjured team may simply lose interest and not give it their full effort-I know that may be hard to understand but I really believe that that is the mentality and mindset of some of these guys.

I fought that 'injury' deamon for years - like most i guess.
After each game throughout the years i'd say to myself,
"son of a bitch, they still kicked their fuckin ass".
(the books have made fortunes off of that angle for many years)
You or we can tell people about it 100 times but they still won't listen.
It's hard to convince the brain to place a wager on a team that you know is hurt.

But you're absolutely right - you will definately win more than lose, playing the injury team.
(i believe it usually works 'right after the injury' more often than not vs later on)

Your theory gets BLOWN up with the Denver game tonight though Greek. Kenyon Martin and Anthony Carter (2 Starters last night), missed tonight's game with injuries along with the suspended JR Smith. They had Renaldo Balkman and Joey freakin Graham starting ... and they are getting smoked!
