There was no time left on clock....thus game is OVER..
Try and catch a replay of it.......
NFL Rules ******: Backward Pass
Backward Pass
1. Any pass not forward is regarded as a backward pass. A pass parallel to the line is a backward pass. A runner may pass backward at any time.
2. A backward pass that strikes the ground can be recovered and advanced by either team.
3. A backward pass caught in the air can be advanced by either team.
4. A backward pass in flight may not be batted forward by an offensive player.

clear as day right here. after this there should be no argument.
cannot believe people on here can watch so much football, then not understand the rule. people pick up backward laterals (which is essentially a fumble) and advance them all the time.

Having said that, to think that these NFL refs wouldn't fix a game or control the outcome, based on either fixing or biased officiating, is very naive....

why even argue it. the ruling on the field was Touchdown. 17-10 final score. anyone else who wants to say "they reviewed it to get it right" is crazy.[/QUOTE]
They reviewed it cause it's their job, and the rules, and the outcome can affect who goes to the playoffs....
what is so hard to understand about that.....
Call me Crazy, but call me "Correct Crazy".....they finally get one right, and according to their governing rules, and you question em.....
I sure figured you were more open minded than you're portraying....you've got FIX locked in your mind.....
Ahh well, it's gonna be a thing of discussion for many other people and time......we're entitled to our own opinions, and until proven wrong, I'll stick with mine, If proven otherwise, with substantial/supportive evidence, I'll admit my error...

fact is we could argue this all night long.
truth is the ruling on the field was TOUCHDOWN and the final score should have been 17-10
this outcome was fixed to make SD cover no doubt in my mind. the rest of you can make up rule or tie breaker or whatever excuses you want. I know what is fact and that is what happend at the end of this game was nothing short of a fix and a joke and the NFL knows it2013 NCAA POD Record

very easy to call one during a critical point in the game and not be proved wrong
there was a questionable illegal block in the back on a retun in this game -- if the return went for a touchdown the ref could have thrown the flag or kept it in his pocket
and how about the sd reciever getting molested right in front of the ref with no call ??
There are sooo many bad calls that no one will question the one that is intentional
They have an elaborate grading system....if anything, it puts more pressure on these guys to get the call right. If a field judge throws a questionable hanky, he is held accountable. NFL is the LEAST likely of all sports to be fixed. Again, not saying it doesn't happen, but of all the professional sports (except boxing), there is not a closer watched group than the NFL referees.
Hochule has been downgraded, and may never officiate another post season game. I heard him being interviewed, and the guy is totally devastated. This is a HOBBY for most of these guys.
