THE ONLY THING THAT NEEDS TO BE SAID IN THIS ENTIRE THREAD THAT WARRANTS NO RESPONSE TO PROVE THIS GAME WAS FIXED IS THAT THERE WAS NO TIME LEFT ON THE CLOCK AND PITT WON THIS GAME. Wow chalk this game up there with one of the shadiest of all time....never have I seen a review to add or take away points off the scoreboard when the winner has already been determined, their is no time on the clock, AND the game is already over....

I'm not saying Sports in General is immune from fiangling and wrong doings.....Bookies have BILLIONS to play with, and they make things attractive for certain officials....we all know that....but to look at this play, watch the replay, KNOW, I said KNOW the rules, you'll see they did it perfectly correct this time....

the announcer on the original broadcast said he didnt see an illegal forward pass and when you see these replays they either edit it or cut it ....its just blatant bs and a slap in the face of nfl fans

imo there's a huge difference between fixing nba games and nfl games. In the nba call a phantom foul then the player shoots free throws for points. A nfl ref doesn't have the same luxury.

Think about it. If the game is fixed 'they're' not going to allow it to come down to some 1 in a million play. The last play in the game.

very easy to call one during a critical point in the game and not be proved wrong

there was a questionable illegal block in the back on a retun in this game -- if the return went for a touchdown the ref could have thrown the flag or kept it in his pocket


and how about the sd reciever getting molested right in front of the ref with no call ??

There are sooo many bad calls that no one will question the one that is intentional

read my other posts frank. above i stated that vegas has nothing to do with fixing outcomes in fact vegas wants it to be 100% legit.

how is nba calls different? phantom fouls? how bout nfl phantom holding calls, blocks in the back, pass interference, false starts vs. offsides hell the NFL use to have a judgement call by refs on Face masking. How the fuck does a ref in real time decide if a face mask is 5 or 15yrd penalty???

frank, don't bother...let the conspiracy theorists think what they want to think. Hell, one ref was caught out of a couple of hundred so they all are dirty! And to think we are debating the fact they got the call right!!!

it was more than donaghy

he was calling his fellow refs before and after recieving calls from his guy

also -- 3 man ref crew .... One donaghy game had a team with a 46 -4 free throw advantage

what were the other two refs doing ???!!!

i could see if there was an illegal pass and they reviewed/over-turned it.

i still dont know where there was an illegal pass, and even so, it is my understanding the play continues and at the end the offense is penalized 5 yards if applicable.

Ilegal forward "LATERAL"...."LATERAL" I say.....cannot be advanced....Ball is dead where it occurs.....exactly as they did....Cannot be returned by the Defense, cause the ball is ruled dead there......

There was no time left on clock....thus game is OVER..
