I can't really comment on this play in particular, but if anyone seriously thinks ANY sport that involves monetory bets does not have moments of "fixation," you really are naive. When money is involved, people are always vulnerable.

I agree with that statement, Jimmy...but you are not going to be dumb enough to screw with the last play of the game of a nationally televised game, leading into 60 Minutes, which will probably be the highest rated show of the week b/c of the Obama interview. So, what, 25 million people watching and you are going to fix the game? PUHLEEZE!!!!

Lot easier to fix a Sac/Min NBA gmae on a Sunday night by calling every foul, and every non foul. Anyone who thinks the Pitt/SD game was fixed is nuts, imo......

exactly my point. vegas doesnt fix games big time bookmakers do. they dont care who wins/loses they only care about the # posted. I mean think about it a NFL ref makes what 100k a year as a ref. if a bookmaker offers him 25k CASH to change the outcome of one game per season ATS wise........ not per week per season why wouldnt he take it????? you then multiply that by the # of refs in the league and you have fixes every single week in certain games period. ppl need to open there eyes to the fact that millions of dollars are wagered on these games illegally. Vegas dont have shit to do with it.
              2013 NCAA POD Record

              8-3ATS +3.80 units

              2013 NFL POD Record

              1-2 ATS -4.50 units

Like I said 3J, no comment on the play in question cuz I didn't analyze it. My pt is some people just refuse to admit sports involving wagers are fixed.

damn sure am on this one

                    everyone is alwways wrong
Not really....I admit when I'm wrong or proven wrong, you ego won't allow it

                    lol

                    w/e

its like talking to a wall
I know the feeling while talking to you, and you're apparently wrong, evade it, and woon't admit it.....EGO lock

why does it upset you so much ?
                    I think games are fixed
Cause----you don't really know that...sure ther's been some rigging going on in ALL sports...but those are rarities....and this doesn't even qualify or look like a fix, cause they did their jobs according top the rules, which you apparently don't know...

                    its a fact
that this game was rigged, or there have been rigged games...see above...anytime a gasme has a questionable call, you holler FIX....not so.....it's in your dampened mind...

                    its been proven
NFL, or you're talking about the NBA now....apples to apples....and even if there has been isolated instances, doesn't give you the right to erroneously start hollering FIX on every call, especially when it wasn't and they were right...Guess they should have called you first

                    the nba ref scandel
what's an NBA scandal have to do wth an NFL game and trhe refs in the review booth doing their job.....weak GREEK...reaching

how many college football and basketball players have been busted for point shaving ??!!!!
Also, what does that have to do with the NFL refs and the review booth doing their job correctly

Keep your eyes closed kapt and believe what u want
I believe what I see, and know to be fact, not just a suspicion of constant negativity

thing is .. I dont talk down to you and have to write an essay and post quotes in my sig to belittle you
what in the fvk does my signatire have to do with you....you are paranoid, and insecure about yourself aren't you....and you talk about essays, look at yours....Pot calling the Kettle black

you believe what you want and so shall i
no problem here....except, when I'm right I'm right, when I'm wrong I admit it, I don't let my EGO get in the way as you do....

is that such a fuking problem for you mr arrogance ?
arrogance you say, that is probably the most hilarious thing you've posted, and believe you me, you've posted many....Arrogant you say....Look at yourself, can't admit when you're wrong and proven wrong....now that EGOTISTICAL ARROGANCE...

you can go all over, giving your opinion, unsolicited, and start threads giving yours, well, when you do, make sure you're right, or myself and plenty others will be there to correct you....If you can handle being wrong, then quit starting erroneous/useles/shit stirring threads...
Have a good night GREEK....I got better things to do than to argue with MR NEVER WRONG.....

Programs busted? You mean 18, 19 and 20 yr old kids?

And, you are right, Donaghy was a dirt bag and because he got busted, let's indict every official in every sport who makes a 'wrong' call'! Oh, wait, this was the right call (so it would seem!).....

1 REF GOT CAUGHT! ONE! that's like indicting every CEO because of Enron....

I didn't say it never happens, I said that it happens, but is not as often as most think.

Since Donaghy, these refs are more scrutinized than ever. The majority of NFL referees have full time jobs outside of their weekend job. Donaghy was a momma's boy who depended on his NBA stipend to live on. Far different than a weekend warrior. I can't see Ed Hochule going into the witness protection program because he decided to throw a game.

I knew this would draw fire, but I still stand by my premise that fixes occur alot less than most think. Chalk the majority of the bad calls to human error.

I am a Steeler fan and obviously biased, but this ending was just icing on the cake. The officiating was laughable throughout the entire game.

I realize you weren't commenting...and I do believe that some of the shit that goes on is fishy...but here we have a set of officials who ruled this game by the book and people honestly believe they fixed it!

One thing that no one has pointed out...why would it be so important for Pitt to cover? or do those that believed it was fixed think the ref had Pitt?

as i watched football night in america, it seemed like they didnt want to talk about the play....oberman said it was clearly a forward pass on replay but he said it sarcastically...also, costas brought up the point spread, but the nfl is so powerful that these guys dont want to lose their jobs over this
