The play was never blown dead. the refs saw it as a lateral and a turnover and a TD for pitt. that was the ruling. why do you review it? it meant nothing in the outcome of the game period. That's an awfully weak argument to try ancd convince others it was fixed.......

It's the rules....The REVIEW Booth has the option to review, any and all plays in the last 2 minutes of the ball game......It's their job....they did, ruled forward lateral, no advancement, game over...

The whistle not blowing has nothing to do with it...they had to kick the xtra point and while cleaing the field to do so, the Ref got buzzed from the box. Plays in the last 2 mins get revied by the replay official. The Ref doesn't go to the sideline on his own to review the play...he gets buzzed from above. Getting the field cleared gave the booth more time to review.... Becaus ethe spread is involved, because they reviewed it, it is fixed and if they didn't review it all of the SD bettors, if it was forward, would scream the same thing....

If they let it stand, SD backers woul dbe crying the same thing if in fact is was a forward lateral. I didn't look closely but there is more than 1 person on this board that thought it went forward so it was close enough to review....

Everytime a ref gives a favorable spot for a first down, should we holler FIX.....

Every holding, non holding call missed, that eventually wind up affecting the game, should we holler FIX....

You are wrong it does matter. At season end, tie breakers potentially come into play. They have to get the call right.

You can review laterals. And yes, you can review some penalties...did you watch the Giants/Eagles game when the reversed Eli's penalty for crossing the line of scrimmage forward pass that wasn't???
