the bottom line is boxing needs 1 governing body....It is the only sport that does not have one and sometimes the more marketable guy will win a fight he does not deserve to win....Utterly disgusting...I figured the fight was too close to call and that is why i did not do a write up....but how do you handicap crookedness......Garbage

so true....it's tough to handicap a sport where the winner doesn't always win. I wonder what the judges were thinking when the ref took one point from vernon "oh fuck! now what do we do!....ah fuck it, we'll still give it him"

the other problem is that the judges are all in their 50's and 70's.....how good can their eyesight be...they should go back to how it used to be in the 70's and give the ref a card also...

I got burned not long ago on a boxing match when Winky Wright kicked Jermaine Taylor's ass and they called it a draw...well, maybe he didn't exactly kick his ass...lol..but to call it a draw was a joke...it's a shame boxing has gotten to this level...

If always felt boxing needs to do one of two things:

                      1. Have the judges post the scores after each round. It's the only sport where the contestants and fans don't know the score.

                      or

                      2. Use 9 judges. Three sets of 3 judges. Have the first set of judges score the first 4 rounds while the other judges are secluded. Then rotate the next sets of judges.

                      I prefer #2
