If you told somebody you liked the over 8.0 with these 2 hurlers going about 2 months ago they would have commited you to the insane asylum. But because of these 2 pitchers reputation more than anything this back number has a lot of value based on their performance this year. Greg Maddux has had an up and down year to say the least. On the road Maddux is just 3-3 with his team starts and has a 5.85 ERA. Tom Glavine is in bad form in his last 3 starts. His whip in those outings is 1.57. He is 2-3 at home in his team starts with a 4.85 ERA. In his only start versus his former team he was knocked out of the box after just 3.1 innings. This was no fluke as the Braves are averaging 7.18 RPG versus lefty starters in 11 games this year. These 2 teams have scored 5 or more runs in 13 of their last 20 games combined. Go OVER 8.0 in this one.
