5 Units on San Antonio Spurs -7 -110
The Spurs and Mavericks each won 60 games this season and finished tied for the best record in the league. San Antonio earned the top seed in the West after posting a better conference record than Dallas, which was seeded third, behind Pacific Division winner Sacramento. Dallas faced Sacramento advanced to conference finals for the first time in 15 years with a 112-99 victory in Game Seven of their semifinal series on Saturday. Dirk Nowitzki collected 30 points and 19 rebounds for the Mavericks, who buried 11 3-pointers and earned their first trip to the Western Conference finals since 1988. Nick Van Exel nailed four 3-pointers en route to 23 points and Michael Finley and Steve Nash added 18 apiece as Dallas, which helped coach Don Nelson reach a conference final for the first time since 1986. San Antonio reached the Western Conference finals for the third time in five years with a 110-82 victory over Los Angeles in Game Six of their semifinal series Thursday. Tim Duncan dominated the game with 37 points and 16 rebounds and Tony Parker, who turned 21 on Saturday, added 27 as the Spurs rolled past the three-time defending champions. San Antonio shot 55 percent (44-of-79) from the floor overall and outscored Los Angeles, 32-13, in the fourth quarter. The Spurs split four meetings with the Mavericks during the regular season, with each team winning once at home and once on the road. Dallas posted a 93-72 victory at the SBC Center in the final game of the regular season for both teams.

    4 Units on St Louis Cardinals -200 (Zambrano- R, Morris - R)
The Chicago Cubs will doubtlessly be happy to leave St. Louis after completing their four-game series with the rival Cardinals at Busch Stadium. Busch has been a house of horrors for the Cubs over the last four seasons, a span that has seen them lose 22 of 26 in the Cardinals' home park. Chicago has lost two of three in this series, including a 6-3 setback on Sunday. The Cubs are trying to regain the form that saw them win six of seven entering this series. Chicago is seven games into a 14-game road trip -- its longest since 1983. One bright spot for the Cubs at Busch has been the play of center fielder Corey Patterson, who is 4-for-12 with two RBIs in the series. Patterson is riding a career-high 10-game hitting streak, during which he is 16-for-41 (.390) with three homers and 12 RBIs. The Cardinals' climbed back over .500 with Saturday's win, but have eight losses in their last 12 games. St. Louis can pull within two games of first-place Chicago with a win Monday.

    3 Units on Milwaukee Brewers -145 (Keisler - L, Kinney - R)
The San Diego Padres look to snap a five-game losing streak as they face the Milwaukee Brewers in the opener of a three-game series between the two worst teams in the National League at Miller Park. On Sunday, the Padres lost 6-3 to the Atlanta Braves, suffering their fifth series sweep of the season. San Diego, which was swept in four games for the first time this year, has lost 18 of its last 21 and is just 2 1/2 games ahead of baseball's worst team, the Detroit Tigers. They finished their homestand 1-6 after going 1-5 in their previous homestand. However, San Diego's next opponent isn't quite as intimidating. The Brewers are only four games ahead of the Padres and come in having lost eight of their last 11 games. On Sunday, Milwaukee lost 6-3 to the Cincinnati Reds, snapping a modest two-game winning streak. The loss marked the fifth time this season the Brewers have blown a chance to win their third in a row.
