The Predators hope to avenge a home loss against the Oilers just over a week ago, and snap a five game losing streak in the process. We like their chances as they return home, where they are 5-1 this season.
The Oilers came out flat against the Stars last night, and ended up on the short end of a 4-0 game. They are in a tough spot here, playing the second of back to back games against a speedy Predators squad. They are currently in the midst of a lengthy seven game road trip.
Nashville has not played as bad as their five game losing streak would indicate, as three of those losses have come in overtime or a shootout. They were playing over their heads early in the season, so a slump wasn`t unexpected. Still, this is a solid team, and they are certainly capable of getting back on track at home.
Preds goaltender Tomas Vokoun has been peppered over the last few games. Look for Nashville to clamp down defensively and help him out in this one. Nashville bounces back with a win on home ice.
