The battle of the Notre Dame coaches past and present. Take the present in Weis as the Irish will look to get back into the top 10.
If the coaches say this is just another game, they are lying. Tyron Willingham would like nothing better than to upset his old team with many of the players he recruited and Charlie Weis wants to take the Irish to another level and awake the echoes. Yes Willingham might have assembled the Irish offense but it has been unleashed by Weis. In three games the Irish have 486 yards running and another 854 passing and 13 touchdowns against good teams, Pitt, Michigan and an overtime loss to Michigan State in which the Irish came back from a 14 point deficit in the fourth quarter.
Yes the Huskies are coming off there first win of the season with a 34-6 victory to end a 8 game loosing streak but that was to Idaho. The Huskies have not beat the Irish in there last 5 tries and they haven’t beaten a ranked opponent in almost two years. Look for Brady Quinn to repeat his performance of last year when he threw for 4 TD’s.
Tyrone Willingham might get the Huskies back atop the Pac 10 in the future but we are in the present and Charlie Weis got his boy attention last week with an overtime loss and they will be focused for the win.
The Irish are going to come out firing and will walk away with this one by at least 3 touch downs for the cover and a huge win over there old ball coach.
