Homesportsbar's top 5 College football Team preview:

    1. USC---Any Surprise here? This team is loaded and has had the #1
recruiting class in the last 2 years. In our opinion they were the best team
in the country the last 3 years. No one in the Pac 10 can challenge this
team. We'll see them in the Rose Bowl.

    2. Texas---We'll find out early if Texas is a contender when they go to
Ohio State September 10th. If they can get by Ohio State
(and we think they will) their toughest challenge will then be Oklahoma who
they haven't been able to beat. If they cannot beat Oklahoma this year they
    never will.

    3. Iowa---If Iowa can beat Ohio State at Ohio State they will go to the
Rose Bowl. They haven't lost at home in a while and will not lose at home
this year. They have one of the best linebacker corps in the country. There
    are big questions at RB.

    4. Tennessee---They would be our pick to play USC in the national
Championship if they didn't have back to back road games at Florida and at
LSU. This is the best Tennessee team Fat Phil has had since they won the
national championship. If they can make it through those 2 tough road games
they will have a great shot at a national title

    5. Ohio State---As it does every year the schedule favors the Buckeyes
with 7 home games and 4 away games (barnburners @Penn State, Indiana and
Minnesota). There are 2 tests that the Buckeyes must pass. Texas week 2 and
at Michigan the last week of the season. Great D and favorable schedule but
    too many questions at QB.

    Freebee:

Cincinnati Bengals over 8 games. Carson Palmer will be much improved this year and still has many weapons like T.J. Houshmandzadeh Chad Johnson. Couple that with the addition of Odell Thurman and David Pollack the Bengals will be a team to be reckoned with. With games vs Tennessee twice, Cleveland twice Detroit and Chicago Look for the Bengals to go over the 8 win total and be the surprise team in the NFL this year.
