It's not very often that I take a team that has lost 5 in a row. Today is the exception. Cabrera will be starting for Baltimore tonight, and he has been nothing but exceptional in his last 4 starts. In those starts he's managed to go 3-0 with a 1.78 ERA. Going a little further back, Cabrera has managed to hold opponents to 3 runs or less in 7 straight starts.
Benoit will be getting his second start for Texas after giving up 6 runs over 5 innings vs the Yankees in his last start on Wednesday. Benoit gave up 4 home runs in that contest. Benoit has pitched well out of the Bullpen, but may run into trouble after going through the line-up a couple of times.
Baltimore is expected to activate Javy Lopez for tonights contest. This will be a lift to a team that went 3-7 in its last 10 contests, all of which were on the road. Look for Baltimore to put enough runs on the board to get Cabrera the victory, and welcome Lopez back in a big way.
