Ok, guys we had a nice underdog winner with Oakland yesterday. Let's see if we can get another win today.

Today we have two struggling pitchers going at each other. Both Maddux and Leiter have had their share of problems this year. Maddux has been hit very hard his last two outings giving up 11 runs in 11 innings. Leiter hasn't done much better. After a series of terrible starts, Leiter was demoted the bullpen. He pitched 3 innings of relief against Milwaukee on Tuesday giving up 5 hits and 1 earned run. Leiter will be getting another shot at the starting rotation today, taking the place of an injured Josh Beckett.
The Marlins will come out firing on all cylinders today to keep from being swept by the Cubs. Look for Leiter to be more focused after his short stint in the bullpen. Maddux will usually pitch very well the first time through the rotation, but after that things go downhill. If Leiter limits his walks he should be able to hold the Cubs at bay today.
