    Brown +12 (2 Units) 7:30 pm EST

The Ivy League against the ACC…no contest right? Not so fast. The Bears and Cavs are playing basketball at opposite end of the spectrum right now. Brown is 14-2 their last 16 while Virginia is 1-8 their last 9. Obviously the competition is much different but a winning attitude goes a long way. Just as a losing attitude can as well. Brown rolled through the Ivy League but could not get past Penn, losing by 4 and 7 points in their 2 meetings. Led by forward Earl Hunt, this is a very experienced team with only one underclassman, sophomore point guard Jason Forte who is the younger brother of Joe Forte. Forte is averaging a solid 5.3 apg which is tied for 43rd in the country. As a team, the Bears are shooting 46% from the floor and an even more impressive 75% from the free throw line this season. The Cavs are in a funk with their only win in 35 days a home overtime win against Maryland. Impressive yes, but looking back at their two prior home games before that win and you see home losses to Georgia Tech and Clemson. Not very impressive. The confidence levels of these teams are at complete opposite sides. An interesting tidbit on the Cavs is that Virginia’s loss to Duke in the ACC quarterfinals on Friday was the program’s 13th straight postseason setback (nine ACC tournament losses, two NCAA losses and two NIT losses). This isn’t a very relevant stat for this game since it has gone back a few years but interesting nonetheless. Take the points, as this game should be closer than expected.
