Certainly a 7-1 record looked great as the Tigers moved into the South Pacific, but upon further review Clemson has done it for the most part by feasting on weaker competition (Hampton, UNC-Asheville, Norfolk State). Now, while the Sycamores are not quite top-shelf adversaries, they do pose more of a threat to the Tigers' objective, which is why Indiana State should survive in this meeting and move on to play the winner of the Georgetown-Long Beach State match in the consolation championship.
