We have really hit a soft spot this month since Saturday. We lose our Play of the Day Tuesday with North Carolina just flat out missing to many free throws in regulation. We are going to turn the tide Wednesday and release our Play of the Day to the Board. Our POD's are 21-10 over the last 31 but only 2-3 last 5.
5* POD is Mississippi State -8 We feel this line is a little short based on Alabama's win over Tennesse last Saturday and the Alabama win in the January match-up. Alabama shot 53% from behind the arc in that game at home going 7 of 13 while Miss. St went 3-19 for 15.8% as Alabama won by 6. Miss State was up by 12 at the half in this one before being out scored 44-26 in the 2nd half.
Miss. State for the year at home is hitting 48.7% from the field and 34.5 % behind the arc compared to Alabama's 40% from the field and 28.9% from behind the arc while on road. Miss State holds opponents to just 37.2% from the field at home and we expect the better defensive and offensive team to win this one. Alabama also giving up on average 5-6 more points per game over their last five compared to their season average. Lay the points with Miss. State.
