# 15 Ranked Arizona goes on the road to take on a Marquette team that has won 34 straight home non-conference games, including 33 in a row at the Bradley Center. This looks to be a great matchup in the making. Marquette opened as a slight favorite at -2. Early action seems to be on Arizona as the line has went to a pk at most sportsbooks.
If one looks closely at this game the stats tend to favor Marquette overall, both offensively and defensively. Looking a little closer I see a huge difference in the strength of schedule when comparing the two teams.
In their last 5 games Marquette played Wisconsin(W),S Dakota St.(W), Delaware St.(W),Oakland(W), and Kent St.(W). One thing is apparent here. Although they have played a very weak schedule to date, Marquette does win when they are expected to.
Note: Four of Marquette's last 6 games were Unlined Games. Four of their last 5 were home games.
In their last 5 games Arizona played Utah(W), (20)Mississippi St. (W),Wyoming(W), (6)Wake Forest(L), and Michigan(W). As stated above, very huge difference in the quality of teams faced.
Look for Arizona to place their most aggressive defender - Mustafa Shakur on Marquette's Travis Diener. This matchup will likely be the key to who wins the game. Shakur shut down Wake Forest star Chris Paul earlier in the year and should be able to do the same with Diener.
Marquette will need a big game from Diener. He scored 29 of Marquettet's 63 points in their win over Wisconsin. He will get his points, but I don't see him getting 30 in this spot.
I will have to agree with the line move on this game and side with a team that has played a much harder schedule(with success) up to this point in the season.
