It wasn't the kind of day I was hoping for, but I still went 2-1-1 on the day. I lost the first college game of the season as I took the OVER between USC and Va. Tech. I'm not worried. It's only the first game. In the NFL I went 1-0-1 as Baltimore covered vs Detroit, but I had New England/ Carolina UNDER 37 and it landed right on the number. In Baseball I went 1-0 as Philadelphia beat Milwaukee. My pre-season record is now 16-6-1 in service plays and in baseball I have hit 11 of my last 14 service plays. NY Yanks/ Toronto OVER 10: The Bronx Bombers really lived up to their name last night after collecting 19 hits and 6 homers vs the Blue Jays. The Yanks have now had 39 hits and scored 33 runs in the first 3 games of this series. Toronto has also hit well lately as they carry a .297 BA in their last 10 games, while scoring 6.5 rpg in that span. Mike Mussina is on the hill for the Yanks and he carries with him a 5.34 ERA for the year, including an 8.40 ERA in his last 3 starts, plus a 5.81 road ERA this year. Batista isn't fairing much better lately as he has a 5.74 ERA in his last 3 starts, to go along with the 4.88 home ERA this year. It's a case of two hot hitting teams and 2 cold pitchers, and it adds up to another high scoring affair.
