ANAHEIM (Sele) +119 at WHITE SOX (Loaiza) -129:
MLB - 2:05PM (EST)
The Angels have dominated the Sox this entire series & will look to pull off the sweep on Thursday afternoon behind their strong lineup. The Angles are averaging nearly 6.5 runs per game over their last 5 games & nearly 5.5 runs on the road this season.
Chicago’s offense has really slowed down lately averaging just 1.5 runs over their lat 6 games, & the team is just (1-5) during that span.
Although Esteban Loaiza is Chicago’s ace, when you look closer at the numbers, he is really having a sub-par season. Yes, he is (5-1) at home, but he also has an ERA of 5.26 & opponents are bating .276 against him. In fact, despite going (2-0) in his last 3 home games, Loaiza has allowed 16 earned runs, 26 hits, & 5 home runs in just 16 innings – not very good.
Anaheim’s Aaron Sele has pitched well on the road – going (2-0) & the Angels are a perfect (4-0) in games he starts. Without Frank Thomas or Magglio Ordonez in the lineup for Chicago, look for their offense should continue to struggle.
Go with the Angles here as a nice underdog value play on Thursday.
Best of luck,
-Drew
