Baltimore @ Kansas City, 5* Over 9.5 (-113), 8:10 PM EST
Ponson vs. Wood
Best Line Available at Pinnacle
Game Notes:
Baltimore enters the Tuesday night contest coming off a
10-1 series opening win over the struggling Royals in KC.
Eric Bedard got the win and Darrell May was blasted for
6 earned run's in 6 innings of work. I look for more of the same except from both sides in the Tuesday night game. On June 25th, the Royals acquired Mike Wood from the A's in the
Carlos Beltran deal. In Wood's career, he has went 13
innings while allowing 24 hits, 17runs, 7bb and 15
strikeouts and an astounding .387BAA and a WHIP of over
2.25. This will be his first appearance of the 2004
campaign.
Sidney Ponson will take to the hill for the O's. He is 3-10
on the year with a lofty 6.22 ERA, a 1.65 WHIP and .315 BAA
against including healthy numbers from both sides opposing offenses. Lefties are hitting .314, righties .317 and
on the road .337. Both pens have been struggling and we
get Chuck Meriweather behind home plate. He is 10-5 in overs on the year and is 5-1 when the number is over 9.5.
Melvin Mora is day to day and ran on the sidelines Monday.
Look for a slugfest in Kansas City on Tuesday!

2* San Francisco (+101) @ Los Angeles, 10:10 PM _
Williams vs. Weaver
Best Line Available at BoDog
Game Notes:
San Francisco is 8-2 off 3+ inter league games. The Giants are 5-1 in the last six meetings verse the Dodgers, have won thirteen of their last fifteen games, four of five on road, six of seven road series openers and nine of last 11 openers overall. The Dodgers have lost six of their last seven games and were swept in four games by Giants last week in the Bay Area. Los Angeles is 1-7 revenging a three-game sweep. Williams gets the nod tonight for San Fran and is 2-1 when starting against Los Angeles with an ERA of 2.75 and a WHIP of 0.864 (team record is 2-1, +0.4 units in these starts). LA's Weaver is 1-2 when starting against San Francisco with an ERA of 6.50 and a WHIP of 1.667 (team record is 1-2, -0.8 units in these starts). Play on San Francisco tonight.
