Cleveland Indians (Sabathia) at Chicago White Sox (Schoeneweis) 8:05 PM ET
Chicago White Sox (Schoeneweis) –1.5 +194 (2 Units)
This game fits into one of our system plays that are currently 1-1 +.28 on the season. Chicago returns home after a disappointing 2-4 road trip and two straight losses to the lowly Expos. The trip was one of feast or famine for the Chicago hitters. In three of the losses, the club scored two runs or less, while in the three other games, 32 runs were scored by the White Sox. They now get to play at home where they are 20-12 on the season including 7 wins in their last 10 games. The Indians continue their long road trip where they are 3-3 thus far which has actually improved their dismal 12-19 road record this season. The White Sox have had success against lefties all season long as they are hitting .307 on the year including .328 at home. The Indians have improved their hitting against lefties but are still batting just .255. Cleveland is 6-15 against lefty starts this season. Chicago is only 7-10 against lefties this season but it’s still better than where the Indians stand. C.C. Sabathia has a 7.07 ERA in his last 5 starts against the White Sox, who are 2-0 against the Indians in both of Schoeneweis’ starts this season. Chicago is 11-4 the past 15 meetings including a 6-1 record at home. They are lighting it up at home recently, scoring 10 or more runs in 5 of their last 6 games.
