The Cubs and Angels wrap up their weekend series in Anaheim. In today's pitching matchup, Matt Clement takes the mound for the Cubs and will face Kelvim Escobar of the Angels. Escobar is 4-2 with a 3.34 ERA in 11 starts. He has allowed 25 runs on 64 hits with 54 K's, 20 walks and eight homers in 67.1 innings of work. He has been the Angels' best starter for the last month and proved it once again in his last start, with an impressive eight-inning shutout performance that resulted in a no-decision against the Brewers. He matched a career high with 11 strikeouts that game, which was an eventual 1-0, 17-inning loss.
