  • Free Play for Tonight! Go get it!

The Astros and Cubs close out their brief two game series in Houston. Tonight's pitching matchup features Greg Maddux of the Cubs versus Andy Pettitte of the Astros. Maddux has settled down a bit after a rocky start to the season and has posted a 3-3 record with a 4.37 ERA in his first nine starts. He has allowed 29 runs on 61 hits with 42 K's, 12 walks and 11 homers in 57.2 innings of work. He is looking for his 293rd career win and is still seven wins short of 300. Maddux did not get a decision in his last start against San Francisco as the Giants rallied for an extra inning win. In that game, he allowed three runs on nine hits with seven K's, no walks and one homer in a 5-3 setback and he threw over 100 pitches for the first time this season. Pettitte comes in 4-1 with a 3.51 ERA in six starts in his first season with Houston. He spent 15 days on the DL with and elbow injury and seems to be fine now. He has allowed 14 runs on 26 hits with 36 K's, 14 walks and just one homer in 33.1 innings of work. He took a no-decision in his last start after allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits with nine K's, and four walks in 5.0 innings in a 7-4 loss to the Reds. This will be Pettitte's second career start against the Cubs. He lost his only start against the Cubs in June 2003 when he was with the Yankees after he allowed eight earned runs over 1.2 innings in an 8-7 road loss in interleague action.

Astros -135 is the play! But we still love the Cubs but money is more important!
