Mike Hampton has struggled all season and still is looking for his first win of the year as he returns to Colorado on Friday night. Hampton’s numbers at Coors Field were decent during his two-year tenure, going 17-10 with a 5.84 ERA in 32 starts. The Braves will be playing their 10th consecutive road game tonight, as they conclude a 12-game road trip this weekend.
The Rockies starter, Joe Kennedy, has really turned things around in 2004 after spending his first 3 season in Tampa Bay. Kennedy is looking for his 4th win of the season and really dominated at home going (3-0) with an ERA under 2.00.
Although Colorado has lost 4 of their last 6 games, look for their bats to come alive tonight against Hampton. With Kennedy on the mound, the Rockies are the play on Friday night.
