Scott McCarron shot a hot 62 today with 2 EAGLES to draw into a tie with our "Matchup" selection, John Huston.
Both pros are now 12-under par, but the round of the day in the matchup belonged to Scott as he had not one of the rare 2-under par "Eagles", but 2 !
Here is how the pair stand after two days:
Huston----------66 on Wednesday---------66 on Thursday = 132
McCarron-------70 on Wednesday---------62 on Thursday = 132
The lead is being held by Jay Haas at 128, meaning both matchup opponents could well be in contention to "win" the entire tournament by the time the marathon 5 days are finished.
An attempt by Pat Perez to break the PGA scoring record of 59 slipped away from him on the last 7 holes.
