The Reds continue to roll along in 2004 behind some timely hitting and good pitching. Atlanta has played well at home, but are just (1-3) on the road. The Braves are still a bit banged up, but just got JD Drew and Furcal back in the lineup, which should help on offense and defense. The Reds slid by the Braves yesterday 3-2.
Cincinnati has the edge here on offense because of some hot sticks, but the pitching edge goes to Atlanta with Horacio Ramirez. Ramirez is tough on hitters allowing them to bat only .200 against him this year and .263 last season, but he sometimes gets himself into trouble with walks.
Look for Atlanta’s pitching to be the difference in tonight’s game and go with the Braves on Wednesday night.
