  • 3 Winners Tuesday - Entire Card Guaranteed

Insider Edge Sports – Report For Tuesday, April 13, 2004

We come back strong on Tuesday with 3 MLB winners including a 3-Unit TOP PLAY. The first game goes off at 7:05 pm EST tonight. As always, the entire card is guaranteed.

#1 Documented in NCAA Hoops! We ended the season +36 units, finishing 1st at Wisetracking and we would have been first at Procappers if unit values were used, since all games are counted as just one unit there. Overall, a great season.

Oakland Athletics (Zito) at Texas Rangers (Callaway) 8:05 pm EST

    Oakland (Zito) –1.5 –112 (2 Units)

Barry Zito simply owns the Rangers as he is 11-1 in 18 career starts against Texas with a 2.39 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. He has allowed Texas to hit only .210 off him and that number remains nearly the same against current Rangers at .209. That lone loss came this season in fact when Texas defeated the A’s 2-1 last week. Zito went 8 innings, allowing only 2 runs but the Oakland offense couldn’t get the job done. The A’s are 16-2 in games Zito starts against Texas, winning those games by an average of 8-3. At the Ballpark in Arlington, he has never lost, going 6-0 in 8 starts with a 2.44 ERA. They have won those games by an average score of 7-3 and only 5 of his 18 starts have been decided by one run. Mickey Callaway has started 3 times against the A’s and has yet to win. He has never made it into the 6th inning while two starts he couldn’t get out of the 4th. He has an 8.38 ERA and a 1.86 WHIP in those games while current A’s are hitting .344 against him. The A’s bullpen has blown 3 save opportunities although closer Arthur Rhodes is a perfect 3-for-3 in save situations so far including pitching the ninth inning to close out two wins over Texas. This is important since Zito is known to last a long time in his stars, cutting out the middle relievers altogether.
