Free Service Play For Wednesday March 31, 2004
Portland Trail Blazers at Boston Celtics 7:00 pm EST
Portland –1 (2 Units)
The Celtics do enter this game winners of their last 3 games but 2 of those came against the Nets while the third was a win against Philadelphia. Both of those teams are severely banged up so the wins are not as impressive as they look on paper. Portland is 7-3 their last 10 games and they are in a playoff battle just as Boston is. The difference however is that Portland has the better talent from top to bottom and they are coming out of the Western Conference. Portland won the first meeting at home this season by 21 points and prior to that, the road team had won the past 6 meetings. The Celtics are just 6-13 ATS at home against winning teams and the good news for them is that they face only 1 team with a winning record after this in their final 7 games. Expect a fired up effort from the Blazers tonight as their locker room tirades after their loss to the Knicks on Monday will certainly have them focused here.
