Houston Rockets at Portland Trail Blazers 10:00 pm EST
Portland –4 (2 Units)
Houston is coming off a big nationally televised game at Sacramento on Sunday and after watching, they expended a lot of energy in what looked to be a game they were very jacked up for. Portland is playing some of their best basketball, winning 5 of their last 6 games that include home wins over Minnesota and Sacramento. For the season, the Blazers are 22-12 at home and have won 4 straight. The Rockets are playing just their 3rd road game since March 5th after a 5-game homestand. With their win on Saturday over Orlando, the Blazers moved to one-half game of Utah for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference with 13 games remaining. Portland has definitely picked up their game on the defensive end and it seems everyone is buying into it for once. They have allowed just 82.5 ppg on 41.0% shooting their last 6 games. Those are well below their season averages of 92.1 ppg and 45.1% shooting. Only one team has scored more that 83 points during this span. "When you play defense consistently, then it gives you a chance to win every night," forward Theo Ratliff said. "We have to understand that defense is becoming our style of play, and we have to play that style every night." Portland is 11-7 ATS at home against winning teams while Houston is 8-11 ATS on the road against above .500 teams. The home teams has won all 3 meeting this season and 7 of the last 8 overall.
