LA Clippers (+3.5) over Dallas Mavericks
The fifth place Clippers play host to the Dallas Mavericks Sunday night at Staples Center. LA is coming off a road trip in which they lost all 3 games, most recently in Memphis on Friday.
In spite of their recent struggles, they are still an offensive force, averaging close to 99 points per game at home. The Clippers have handled the Mavs well this season, defeating them outright in 2 out of 3 so far despite the fact that they were underdogs by as many as 11 points in these matchups.
Dallas has a weak defense, especially on the road where they allow 103.8 points per game. Look for big scorers Elton Brand (20.4 ppg) and Corey Maggette (20.2 ppg) to take full advantage of this on their home court.
We like the home dog in what should be a high-scoring affair. Take the Clippers getting the points.
