Connecticut can not afford a slip up against Notre Dame since they are trailing Pittsburgh by a half game in the Big East conference standings, so we don't expect them to look ahead to Pitt (their next game) and past Notre Dame. Notre Dame's starting center, Torin Francis, played only 9 minutes Saturday in Notre Dame's 8 point loss to Pitt due to back spasms and is questionable tonight. This will provide all kinds of depth problems for the Irish on their front line if Francis is unable to go or is limited in his play. Even at 100%, Francis would probably be at a big disadvantage against Connecticut's center Emeka Okafor in the middle, arguably the best big man in college basketball this year. The real difference between these two teams is depth. Connecticut has plenty of it and should be able to further its cause with a solid win this evening.
