The first game of the new season originally opened with the Eagles at -4 and 46.5. At the time of release, there was still belief Carson Wentz might play. With no Wentz and other Philadelphia injuries, the Eagles are down to -1 and 44.5. With Atlanta 0-4 in the preseason and playing almost nobody of consequence, they are still a talented team, just a mystery of sorts. Given the stage, I'm of the belief the Eagles really come to play and win this game, being 8-1 SU and ATS at home against the Dirty Birds and will also lean with the UNDER.

Will Bryce Harper get a good look at his potential new team this weekend? That certainly will be discussed. Baseball bettors have given up on Washington a long time ago and even having Stephen Strasburg (7-7, 4.09 ERA) pitch is not meaning much as the Nationals have caved from -127 to -110 against Kyle Hendricks (11-10, 3.37)*and Chicago. I actually prefer the Under 8.5 as the best choice but will side with the Nats and Strasburg, since that combo is 47-17 when the total is 7 to 8.5.
