Sadly, I really took it on the chin Wednesday ending an 8-game winning streak of PREMIUM Play wins with the Astros last night. Felt very confident Keuchell would allow the Stro bats to grab a lead and hold. Unfortunately, Tanaka, who deserves props, he pitched a bitch of game and avoided the big 2-out hit while the Yanks have thrived on the 2-out RBI while the Stros couldn’t produce in their opportunities and they had a few.
I followed that up with a small play and loss on the Dodgers to close out the series in Chicago and that fell short of my FREE play expectations for the over with 3-2 Final. The 16 MPH wind did not carry many fly balls out. At the start, it looked like HRs would come throughout the game, but after the 4th, it became a pitcher’s duel and ground balls and pop-ups were the only items on the menu.
A rare losing day, only my 5th in the last 20 days, so my apologies to my customers. I take it just as hard as you do, maybe even harder and I lost money too. With a short window to make an impression, joining me last night was a horrible first date.
Let’s do better tonight: I feel pretty good about it.
Arkansas St. has a potent offense, while ULL may not. I see their last two games vs Idaho & Texas St., but holding those teams is not very hard to do. The Cajuns seem to have settle on Nunez at QB and he had good games against those very same poor teams and the Defense turnaround after a very poor start to the season. ULL gave up 48, 66, 45, & 66 points to decent teams, SE LA aside. Then found their D legs against ID and TX St. Ark St is more like ULM and Tulsa than Tex State or Idaho.
The Redwolves have a bend but don’t break defense, they’ll likely give up plays between the 30’s but possess a successful red zone percentage. ULL has a shaky, at best, O-line. The Wolves will be in the ULL backfield all night. This could be an ole’fashion beat down, but let’s give ULL some momentum credit and a plucky 1st half, before Ark St begins to roll, capitalizing on 2-3 turnovers on their way to 35-40 points. ULL may get 14-20, on 2-3 FGs and a TD or 2 at most.
Ark St 38-19
KC @ Oak, where KC must travel on a short week to rival Raiders who didn’t look very smooth last week as Carr tries to manage his back with a bottle of Don’s pills, he may need to step up his meds. KC is coming off a sloppy loss to Pitt, but still had their chance to pull off the win despite the poor effort. The Antonio Brown tip drill TD could have and Should Have been a pick-6 going the other way and instead, was the KC dagger.
