After a season high 4-game winning streak, the Suns have now dropped 3 in a row and even with their 2-2 road record the last 4, they still sit at 5-18 away from home this season. The Hawks return home after a big upset win at Detroit on Sunday. They are playing their most consistent basketball of the season as they are 4-3 their last 7 games, their best 7-game stretch of the season. Their 3 losses during this time have been by a total of 12 points. They are just 3-3 their last 6 home games but all 3 losses were by 3 or less and 2 of those came to the two best teams in the Central. This is the start of a 5-game homestand and the momentum from the win over the Pistons could jumpstart this team. "A hell of a team win," said coach Terry Stotts. "The heart and pride of the players are showing, and they're competing. They're believing in themselves." Added Stotts: "You want to win at home, and we've got a lot of games in a row to get it going there. Mostly we just have to continue to play how we're playing. If we play hard and with composure like we have, the wins at home will take care of themselves." Sure it’s easier said than done but the confidence this team has gained over the last 2 weeks can carry them. Phoenix is embarking on their longest and most difficult road trip this season. To make matters worse, they've gone a combined 1-7 on a pair of four-game Eastern trips this season and they have lost 13 of their past 16 games on the road.
